About us
The digital testbed for air cargo (DTAC), led by Fraunhofer IML and funded by the Federal Ministry of Digital and Transport (BMDV), comprises six standalone subprojects that collectively revolutionize the logistics industry. Each subproject focuses on specific aspects of the air cargo ecosystem, integrating cutting-edge technologies like ONE Record, autonomous driving, and robotics. The collaborative efforts aim to optimize cargo handling processes, enable real-time tracking, smart routing, and predictive analytics, enhancing efficiency, transparency, and security throughout the supply chain. Leveraging Fraunhofer IML's expertise in logistics research, the project fosters seamless cooperation among stakeholders to drive advancements in air cargo transportation. This transformative initiative presents a holistic approach to transforming global air freight, with its diverse subprojects addressing key challenges and paving the way for a more agile and sustainable future.
