The German Academic Exchange Service-DAAD Greece is the official representation of the DAAD in Greece and is active in many areas, including the advisory support to students, researchers and academics as well as the provision of scholarships for study and research in Germany.

DAAD Greece was founded in 2004 in Athens and:

• provides information on educational institutions and study programmes in Germany

• informs students, emerging scientists and academic staff about research programmes

• advises on the choice of a suitable study or research programme

• awards scholarships to undergraduate and postgraduate students, researchers and academic staff

• suggests useful websites and provides further information material

• organises and participates in educational exhibitions

• organises information events in universities, schools and other educational institutions in Greece

• organises conferences of academic interest

• is in regular contact with its scholarship holders (DAAD-Alumni) and other public and private bodies in the field of education
